What we folllow
Our Approach
Our 12-week program focuses on exactly that – lifestyle changes! We ask you to make small, steady changes to your lifestyle to decrease insulin resistance and increase sensitivity through 4 means – muscle, fat, liver, and pancreas.
Muscle – Use the muscles to take up more glucose. Add at least 30-60 mins of movement to your daily routine
Fat – Don’t eat excess calories, eat balanced meals and of course MOVE!
Liver – Avoid alcohol and high fructose foods. Do not add to your fatty liver
Pancreas – Decrease stress levels, sleep 8-10 hours and make a consistent routine
No calorie counting
No calorie counting, but common sense eating
balanced meals
You will eat balanced meals and will feel satiated and satisfied; never hungry
No extreme activity
No extreme physical activity, any movement you are comfortable with Sustainable, evidence-based change to last you a lifetime
Educating yourself
Educating yourself about your own condition and providing you with the tools and resources to manage it
The process for a diabetes free life
Our Process
01 ASSESSMENT
During the initial consultation, we will conduct an intake to assess your current state of health and wellness, review your blood reports and prescription medications from your physician
02 DIAGNOSIS
Based on the intake and MI methods, identifying and prioritizing health and wellness issues. For example, A1C of 6.6%
03 PLANNING
Collectively identifying SMART goals to better your health and wellness. For example: Lowering fasting sugars below 100mg/dL within 3 months
04 IMPLEMENTATION
We will implement means that will help you achieve your goals. For example, CGM to monitor blood sugar levels, 30 minute walk everyday, Limiting carbohydrates to 30g per meal, Identifying resources to attain goals
05 EVALUATION
Continuous biweekly followup to ensure the implementation measures are effective
